Zaina Qureshi
Executive Secretary of DEI
Zaina is from Malden, Massachusetts. At GW, Zaina is a sophomore in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, studying Political Science and American Studies. Prior to joining the SGA, Zaina previously worked in her student council, where she wrote and ratified the students bill of rights and ensured a voting seat on the board to protect students of color at her high school. At GW, she was a legislative assistant for the Mental Health Assembly, where she helped advocate for better GW mental health resources.
A fun fact about Zaina is that she is bilingual!
What made Zaina join the SGA?:
“I wanted to help make students voice heard at GW. I also wanted to advocate for a larger emphasis on diversity and ensure that the SGA is doing all possible to support students of color.”
